New partnership with OMX

Oxfordshire, April 11th 2019 – Commerce Decisions and OMX, two leading procurement software solution providers, have entered into a partnership to offer advanced evaluation solutions and services. The two companies’ joint capability will integrate supplier discovery, evaluation planning and preparation, and bid analytics together with the delivery, tracking and reporting of social value.

“Teaming up with OMX will help to provide customers with a collaborative platform for accessing procurement opportunities and analyzing the economic impact of the organizations in a variety of complex global supply chains” said Gavin Shepheard, Sales & Marketing Director at Commerce Decisions. “This partnership will also enable our companies to expand our reach globally, particularly into those sectors that are focused on delivering true value for socially focused procurements.”

The partnership between Commerce Decisions and OMX exemplifies the companies’ joint dedication to supporting the varied complexities of global, socially focused, complex and strategic procurements. In recent times, social value (also referenced as community benefit, sovereign prosperity, social license and various other terms) has become a priority for many organisations to achieve local impacts by leveraging their procurement globally. Increasingly, they are considering their activities holistically, taking account of the wider economic, social and environmental effects of their procurements with a view to delivering local economic value.

This integrated solution helps to address the two main challenges faced by organisations in the successful delivery of social value benefits. Firstly, it supports project teams in the building of an effective criteria set to drive the best possible socially-focused solutions from suppliers, and secondly, once the contract is awarded, it facilitates the tracking and measurement of the promised value, verifying that it is delivered.

“From the posting of tenders, to the evaluation and selection of the best solution, through to the tracking of socio-economic impacts and analyses, our partnership with Commerce Decisions will expand OMX’s geographical reach”, says Nicole Verkindt, CEO of OMX. “It provides our users with even more data and insights across global supply chains, particularly in the public sector.”

“By linking Commerce Decisions’ evaluation platform with OMX’s tracking and analytics platform, we will be offering the most comprehensive strategic procurement and delivery solution on the market,” adds Philip Lear, International Account Director at Commerce Decisions.
