Crossrail use AWARD® as part of £14.8bn programme

QinetiQ Commerce Decisions, a leading provider of software and services to support through-life procurement and delivery processes, are working with Crossrail to support the delivery of their multi-billion pound railway development works for London and the South East.

Crossrail will comprise 21km of twin-bore tunnels under the centre of London and eight new underground stations. Crossrail will link Maidenhead and Heathrow in the west, to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east as well connecting Heathrow, the West End, the City of London and Canary Wharf along the way.

Crossrail is a £14.8bn programme involving the award of high-value contracts. The selection processes they deploy for contract awards is key to the success of the project. AWARD® and the QinetiQ Commerce Decisions team have played, and continue to play, an important role.

The AWARD® software is a collaborative web-based software solution designed specifically to support the strategic procurement process from Request for Information preparation, through proposal evaluation to negotiation, delivery
and post contract review. AWARD® is proven to reduce time to contract, improve value for money and reduce risk. It has been used to support strategic procurements in a range of sectors including utilities, transport, local government, healthcare, aerospace and defence covering a broad range of activities including the provision of schools, hospitals, transport and defence systems across Europe and the US.

“AWARD® has consistently proven itself to be an invaluable tool for a variety of projects. With an in-depth understanding of the complexities involved in the procurement process, we have established an enviable reputation as the industry’s thought leaders.  This is reflected in the continued development of AWARD®software,” said Richard Dudley, MD, QinetiQ Commerce
Decisions.
