Welcome to 2020!

As we all come back to work after what I hope was a relaxing and enjoyable break, I wanted to share with you some of the exciting things we have in store for the new decade. With lots planned for Commerce Decisions across our bid and buy side offerings, 2020 brings us many more opportunities to deliver the best possible outcomes on some of the world’s most complex procurement projects.  

As we look to deliver successful outcomes on more projects, in more locations and to more customers than ever before, we will be building and developing our team in order to maintain and improve the excellent service we are known for. Via our three geographic hubs of Europe (Oxford), North America (Ottawa) and APAC (Canberra), we will be expanding our reach, expertise and product offering, both directly and with our strategic partners. 

Future software innovation and thought leadership will be at the heart of what we do in 2020, so do keep a look out for updates as the year unfolds. We’ll be looking at new ways to develop and move our solutions forward to meet the ever-changing and evolving needs of our global customers, so that we can continue to address the challenges you face. This includes looking for new and better ways of working – for instance the team are currently working on an even more robust method of evaluation that can be used across any complex project.  

We will continue to analyse the different approaches of both buyers and bidders to help you to better understand each other’s objectives. These findings will be incorporated into our solutions as we continue to support the delivery of best possible outcomes. As part of this, for our UK bid side customers, 2020 will get off to a flying start with the release of Position to Win. Previewed at DSEI last year, this new feature is a fantastic addition to our ADVANCE™ offering as we continue to help bidders to bid smarter. Combining our best practice expertise and market-leading software, Position to Win supports a data-led and strategic approach to bidding, allowing you to fully understand the competition rules, and leverage them to your advantage.  

For our AWARD® customers, we’ve been investing in the training we provide, and have recently launched our AWARD® Accreditation scheme, with three skill levels and digital badges. The Accreditations are a great opportunity to formalise and showcase your skills as part of your professional development. The scheme has proved very popular, and we look forward to awarding more digital badges this year in recognition of your expertise and knowledge with AWARD®.  

We’re at various events and shows globally throughout the year – check out the events page of our website for details.  We’re currently planning our attendance at the Modernisation of North American Defence Conference in Ottawa, Public Sector Innovation in Canberra, and DPRTE in Farnborough. We hope to see many of you at these events and throughout the course of the year.
